This past December, we took the kids on the Polar Express train ride. Weston has the Polar Express movie, so he understood what we were doing. It was fun... a little long...but fun. It is definitely not a ride for those with a weak stomach, either!!! Weston was absolutely thrilled just to be riding on a real TRAIN!! They really do a great job of tying the ride to the book and movie. The kids are encouraged to wear their pajamas and the train goes to the North Pole where elves dance and sing. Santa then boards the train and speaks to each kid and gives them a jingle bell. What a clever idea! Someone is making BIG bucks on this!!!!
Weston, what in the world are we doing??
Weston gets so serious. He did lighten up and enjoyed singing Christmas carols with everyone on the train!!! I think he has spotted Santa in this picture....

He was so proud of himself for talking to Santa. This was a big accomplishment for a child who was terrified of him only weeks before!
(Yes, the child was addicted to dum-dums at the time. I was glad we had them.... Almost 2 hours on a train with two toddlers....whew!)
